Yamaha has unveiled the 2024 MT-09 and MT-09 SP, the latest iterations of its popular hyper-naked middleweight sport motorcycles, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the MT series. The new MT-09 maintains the 890cc DOHC inline-Triple engine, cast aluminum frame, and 6-axis IMU from the previous model but introduces features like Back Slip Regulator, third-generation Quick Shift System, and a Brembo radial master cylinder. The MT-09 SP further enhances the experience with Brembo Stylema monoblock calipers, DLC-coated KYB fork, Öhlins shock, and four Track modes. Both bikes offer customizable Yamaha Ride Control settings, innovative turn signal functions, improved ergonomics, and a redesigned headlight. The distinct crossplane Triple engine is accompanied by a new two-air intake design for enhanced sound. The 2024 models also feature a larger 5-inch TFT display, upgraded handlebar switches, and standard connectivity via Yamaha's Y-Connect app. The MT-09 will be available in March 2024 with an MSRP of $10,599, while the MT-09 SP, priced at $12,299, will arrive in late spring 2024.
