Another fatality has occurred on Darlık Road in Istanbul's Şile district, which has recently been in the spotlight due to motorcycle accidents. Photographer and content creator Yıldırım Ersan (30) lost his life following an accident during a motorcycle ride with friends.

Not long ago, 21-year-old Ceyda Yakova also died in a motorcycle accident in the same area.

How Did Yıldırım Ersan's Accident Occur?

The accident happened on Sunday, August 30, 2026, around 3:00 PM on Şile Darlık Road.

According to information obtained, Yıldırım Ersan went to Darlık Road to ride motorcycles with his friends. It is claimed that the tire of Ersan's motorcycle slipped on a curve, causing the rider to lose control.

The out-of-control motorcycle then veered into a wooded area by the roadside, where Ersan was seriously injured.

Emergency medical teams were dispatched after witnesses reported the accident. Yıldırım Ersan received initial treatment at the scene and was transported by ambulance to Şile State Hospital.

Despite all medical interventions, 30-year-old Ersan could not be saved and passed away at the hospital.

Who Was Yıldırım Ersan?

Thirty-year-old Yıldırım Ersan was known on social media, especially for his motorcycle and visual content.

He was actively producing content on digital platforms and was also involved in architectural photography and design work. Ersan's posts about motorcycles had a following, and his death has caused great sorrow among his relatives and followers.

His funeral was reported to have been handed over to his family after procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institute.

Ceyda Yakova Also Lost Her Life on the Same Road

The area where Yıldırım Ersan died had recently come into focus due to the Ceyda Yakova accident.

On August 17, 2026, 21-year-old Ceyda Yakova went for a motorcycle ride after visiting a friend living in Şile.

The tire of Yakova's motorcycle entered a gravel-covered section at Şile Road Avlak Curve, causing the motorcycle's balance to be disrupted.

Yakova lost control and collided with a roadside direction sign, sustaining serious injuries.

She was initially taken to Şile State Hospital and later transferred to Sancaktepe Şehit Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Training and Research Hospital due to her critical condition, but despite all efforts, she died.

Curves on Darlık Road Back in the Spotlight

The deaths of two young motorcyclists in a short period have once again raised concerns about road safety on Şile Darlık Road and Avlak Curve.

After Yıldırım Ersan's accident, aerial footage showed brake marks on the road, which features sharp curves.

In Ceyda Yakova's accident, gravel on the road was reported to have caused the motorcycle to lose balance. In Ersan's case, the motorcycle tire slipped on a curve, causing the rider to lose control.
